Naples is preparing for an extraordinary 2025, reaffirming its place as one of Europe’s live music capitals.

This year marks 2500 years of Naples’ history, and the city is not looking back with nostalgia, but forward with the vitality of a place that reinvents itself every day. Thus was born the Naples City of Music – Live Festival, an ambitious and poetic initiative that turns the entire city into an open-air stage under the stars.
Music in Naples isn’t an accessory – it’s an original ingredient. It’s not an industry to be imported but a heritage to be honored.
The city needs no scenery: its squares, hills, alleyways, and ancient palaces already form a stage of breathtaking beauty.
Above all, Naples is a living memory of a culture where music has always been an act of love and resistance. From the ancient songs of the washerwomen of Vomero to the mandolin tradition, from spontaneous choruses in the streets of Montesanto to the cosmic sound of Pino Daniele, everything in Naples is sound.

The Rise of Music Tourism

The festival unfolds in two main moments: June and September, with events held in symbolic venues such as the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and Piazza del Plebiscito.
But the Naples City of Music – Live Festival is not limited to organizing concerts. It aims to transform Naples into a true “Music City”, a place with a vibrant music economy that generates cultural, social, and economic opportunities.

The concept is both simple and revolutionary: music is not just entertainment – it’s citizenship, education, work, and care.

In partnership with artists and industry professionals, the City of Naples is promoting initiatives for inclusion, training, and the fight against educational poverty, using music as a tool for development and social growth.
Moreover, a new indoor music arena with a 15.000-seat capacity is planned for the Centro Direzionale area, with an opening expected in 2026 – further expanding Naples’ cultural offerings and positioning it on the global music map.

One Festival, a Thousand Voices

The Live Festival 2025 offers a rich and layered program – just like Naples itself, a city of contrasts that blend into a unique harmony, much like music.

In June, the Maradona Stadium in Fuorigrotta will welcome some of the biggest names in music:
Vasco Rossi, Imagine Dragons, Cesare Cremonini, Elodie, Sfera Ebbasta, Marco Mengoni, and more.
A diverse lineup blending genres, styles, and emotions.
Then there’s Geolier, the bold new voice of a younger Naples, who will light up the Agnano Hippodrome in July with two already-legendary shows.

Come September, music returns to the monumental heart of the city. Piazza del Plebiscito, with its sweeping colonnade embracing the crowd like a Greek amphitheater, will host unforgettable performances:
Fiorella Mannoia, Laura Pausini, Giorgia, Gianna Nannini, Emma, Alessandra Amoroso, and the emotional highlight, “Pino è – Il viaggio del musicante”, a collective tribute to the soul of Naples, Pino Daniele. More than a concert—it will be a ritual.
